In Kerala, the Opposition LDF walked out of the State assembly today protesting against the decision of UDF government to remove Vice Chancellor of Kerala Veterinary & Animal Husbandry University, Dr B. Ashokan from the post. Seeking permission for an adjournment motion on the issue, former Minister C. Divakaran alleged that the government decision violates laid down norms and procedures.He said that the University has been set up recently with the central assistance of 100 crore rupees and the decision to remove the VC is unilateral.Even though Chief Minister Oomen Chandi clarified that no foul play is involved in the incident, the opposition was not satisfied and staged a walkout in protest.
