LDF opposition walked out of Kerala assembly today protesting against alleged mass transfer of government employees. Former minister A K Balan who sought permission for an adjournment motion on the issue said that the present transfer of employees is politically motivated. Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan also made the same allegation. However, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy clarified that promotion of large number of employees necessitated transfer and norms were not violated. Not satisfied with the reply, the entire opposition walked out in protest.
