In Kerala, normal life has been affected through out the state by the dawn to dusk hartal called by left parties and the BJP protesting against hike in petrol prices. Shops and businesses establishments remain closed while Government offices recorded thin attendance. University and public service commission examinations have been cancelled. State transport corporation buses are not plying due to incidents of stone pelting in some districts of the state. Except two wheelers private vehicles are also off the road.
