Lawyers clashes with media personnel outside Bangalore court

Tension prevailed outside the Bangalore civil court complex today as a group of lawyers clashed with media personnel and pelted stones on them. A few cameramen from private television channels were injured in the incident. This took place while former Karnataka tourism minister Gali Janardhana Reddy was being produced in a court in connection with an illegal mining case. The lawyers wanted camermen outside the court premises in protest against a previous incident where the agitation of lawyers was covered by cemeramen. The police tried to control the situation using mild lathi-charge and firing tear gas shells.
