In Uttar Pradesh several advocates and police personnel were injured and public property set on fire in a clash with police at state capital Lucknow. AIR correspondent reports that lawyers were agitated over no arrangements for their welfare schemes in the state government budget for next financial year. The clash took place when advocates marching towards the Chief Minister's residence to submit a memorandum of their demands were stopped by security forces.
