India's 330 crore rupees mission to flight test the first indigenous cryogenic engine failed after the rocket GSLV-D3 powered by it crashed into the sea five minutes after a perfect lift-off. <br/><br/>Addressing the media after the mission was declared unsuccessful, ISRO chairman Radhakrishnan said the tumbling of the vehicle indicated that the control was lost. <br/><br/>ISRO chairman assured that the next flight of the GSLV with indigenous cryogenic engine would take place within a year. <br/>
