Congress has taken a lead in two states – Manipur and Goa, Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh, SAD in Punjab, and BJP in Uttrakhand. Early trends available show that Congress is leading in five constituencies in Manipur and two in Goa. Samajwadi party is leading in 62 constituencies in Uttar Pradesh, BJP -32, BSP-21 Congress -8 and others two.
In Punjab, SAD is leading in 25 and Congress in 17.
In Uttrakhand, BJP is leading in 15, Congress in 10, and BSP -one.
