The last two years of the Modi Government at the Centre has instilled a lot of confidence in the people of the country. The visible changes in different sectors of economy have led especially the youth to hope for possibilities of employment. This was stated by the Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar in a press conference in Cuttack in Odisha this evening. <br/><br/>Interacting with a cross section of the intellegentia in Cuttack, Mr Parrikar said that the production capacity of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd at Sunabeda in Odisha would be doubled which would in turn lead to employment generation. Mr Parrikar, along with Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was in Cuttack to take part in the vikash utsav which are being organized in different places of the state throughout the month. Earlier Mr Parrikar attended a programme organized by the ex-servicemen in Bhubaneswar.<br/><br/>Speaking at a Press Conference earlier in the day in Bhubaneswar, Mr Parrikar described last Friday's attack on the Union Textile Minister Santosh Gangwar in Bargarh in Odisha by Biju Janata Dal workers as unfortunate. Mr Parrikar hit out at the BJD led state government for failing to give protection to the union ministers during their visit. He also described the incident as panic reaction of the BJD before the 2019 assembly election. <br/><br/>Mr Ganwar was in Bargarh last Friday to attend a vikash ustav rally when his vehicle was pelted with stones, allegedly by the workers of the ruling BJD. However, the BJD has described it as accidental and that the state government is taking steps to bring the culprits to book.
