President Pranab Mukherjee's wife Suvra Mukherjee cremated <br/><br/>The mortal remains of Suvra Mukherjee, wife of President Pranab Mukherjee, who passed away yesterday were consigned to flames today. The funeral took place at the Lodhi Road crematorium in New Delhi. President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani were among others present during the last rites. Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina who specially came to Delhi to pay her last respects also attended the funeral.

The last rites of President Pranab Mukherjee's wife Suvra Mukherjee, who passed away yesterday, will be held in New Delhi today. Her body will be taken for cremation from 13-Talkatora Road, the official residence of her son and MP Abhijit Mukherjee.<br/><br/>Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will attend the funeral. Delhi traffic police have advised commuters in the national capital to avoid the stretch from Moolchand towards Lodhi flyover on the Lala Lajpat Rai Marg between 8.30 AM and 11.30 AM today.
