Last rites of martyr Naik Rajendra Narayan Tupare of Maratha Light infantry will be performed tomorrow morning at his native place Majle-Karve village of Chandgad tehsil from Kolhapur district of Maharashtra. <br/><br/>Tupare was martyred when Pakistan Army initiated indiscriminate and unprovoked firing on Indian Army posts along the LoC in Poonch Sector yesterday. Another jawan Gurusevek Sing from Tarantaran of Punjab also lost his life in the attack. On hearing the news, a pall of gloom descended this tiny village Majare-Karve which is observing a spontaneous bandh for next two days. <br/><br/>State Revenue Minister Chandrakant Patil, who is also district guardian minister, paid homage to the martyr this morning. He assured the family of every possible help by the State and the Central governments. Meanwhile, top government officers today visited the village to inspect the arrangements of last rites, which will be performed in full of Military honors.
