The last rites of Marshal of Indian Air Force Arjan Singh will be performed in New Delhi today. It will be held at the Brar Square in Delhi Cantt at 10 AM. Marshal Arjan Singh will be accorded Gun salute and a fly past will be organised before the final rites. <br/><br/>A Home Ministry spokesperson said, Marshal Arjan Singh will be accorded state funeral and the national flag will fly half-mast in Delhi on all buildings today as a mark of respect. His mortal remains will be taken to the funeral site from his residence starting at 08:15 AM in a gun carriage procession. <br/>'<br/>Marshal Arjan Singh passed away in New Delhi on Friday evening. 98-year old Singh had been admitted to Army's RR Hospital following a heart attack. <br/>'<br/>The mortal remains of the Marshal Singh was kept at his residence on Kautilya Marg in New Delhi yesterday to enable people to pay their respects. <br/>'<br/>President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Vankaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to legendary soldier at his residence. Mr Kovind also wrote to Arjan Singh's son Arvind Singh conveying his condolences. He said, for generations of our fellow citizens, Marshal Arjan Singh remained a living legend.<br/>'<br/>The Prime Minister drove straight to Marshal Singh's residence after his return from Gujarat yesterday evening and paid his respects. The Prime Minister also wrote a message of condolence and interacted with his family members. Mr Modi wrote that his tributes to the brave soldier who had a fighter's qualities of valour and courtesy and whose life was dedicated to Mother India. <br/>'<br/>Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Chiefs of the three Services and other dignitaries also paid their respects.
