The last rites of Major Kunal Gosavi were performed with full military honors at his village, Vakhari in the Pandharpur tehsil of Solapur district today. Major Gosavi sacrificed his life while fighting terrorists at Nagrota near Jammu. <br/><br/>Earlier his body was brought to Pune and then flown to Pandharpur. His body was taken to the cremation ground at Vakhari in procession with thousands of grieved villagers following it. <br/><br/>Guardian Minister of Solapur, Vijay Deshmukh, District Collector, Ranjit Kumar and other dignitaries paid last respects to Major Gosavi. Residents of Pandharpur paid respects to the brave officer by spontaneously closing all the activities for the day.
