The last rights of former Prime Minister of Nepal Girija Prasad Koirala will be performed in Kathmandu on Sunday afternoon. This will be done at Pashupati Aryaghat with full state honours. Mr. Koirala passed away on Saturday. <br/> <br/>His body has been taken to the office of Nepali Congress at Sanepa where it will be kept for some time to enable party workers to pay their homage. From Sanepa, the body will be taken to Dashrath Rangashala Sunday morning where it will be kept till 2 PM to enable people to pay their last respects.<br/> <br/>The Nepalese Cabinet, at its meeting decided to declare a national holiday on Sunday. The national flag will fly at half-mast for three days in Nepal and all its missions abroad. <br/> <br/>Nepali Congress, CPN(UML), Unified CPN (Maoists), other political parties and different organisations have expressed their deep shock and grief over the demise.<br/> <br/>Indian Ambassador to Nepal Rakesh Sood visited the residence of Sujata Koirala, daughter of Nepali Congress President Girija Koirala on Saturday to convey his grief.<br/> <br/>President Pratibha Devisingh Patil, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and leaders of various political parties have condoled the death of Mr. Koirala, the first democratically elected Prime Minister of Nepal. <br/> <br/>Describing Mr. Koirala as one of the tallest leaders and an elder statesman of South Asia, Dr. Manmohan Singh said that Mr. Koirala had an enlightened vision of India-Nepal relations. He said that Mr. Koirala worked sincerely to bring the people of the two countries closer. <br/> <br/>India is deputing a high-level delegation to Kathmandu, comprising Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna to attend the funeral.<br/>
