The last rites of Col S Mahadik, who was killed in a gun battle in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, will be performed at his native Pogarwadi village in Satara District of Maharashtra today. His mortal remains reached Pune last evening. <br/><br/>Later, his body was taken to National War Memorial in Camp area where Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and senior Army Officers including Chief of Southern Command Lt. Gen Ashok Singh and others paid homage to the departed soul.
