Last date for Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana for the kharif season has been extended by two days. The due date was expiring today. Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh has informed this in a tweet today. Earlier, he had appealed the farmers to take the benefit as early as possible through the nearest bank, agriculture cooperative committee or insurance agents. Mr Singh said, Government has launched the scheme from this kharif season and farmers will have to pay very less premium on it. He said, premium is 2 per cent for foodgrains, oilseeds and pulses for Kharif crops and 1.5 per cent for Rabi crops.
