The last date of filing Income Tax returns has been extended till the5th of next month. Revenue Secretary Dr Hasmukh Adhia said in a tweet that the decision was taken in view of yesterday's day-long strike at public sector banks. Mr Adhia said, the last date for assessees in Jammu and Kashmir will be 31st of next month in view of the ongoingsituation in the state.Tax returns for 2015-16 were originally to be filed by the 31st of this month.
