The government has extended the last date for payment of final installment of advance tax for current fiscal to 18th of this month. Earlier, the last date of payment was fixed for 15th of March. An official release said that the Central Board of Direct Taxes has issued an order to extend the time limit to make such payments. Taxpayers can now pay their advance tax installment without entailing any consequential interest for deferment. They can make payments electronically or physically in the designated branches of the authorised banks as per law.
