Large number of people seen visiting Maharashtra's Sindhudurg district, defy ban

<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra's Sindhudurg district, located at the coastal part of Konkan region, is one of the most sought after destination for monsoon tourism. People from various parts of the state visit the place to witness the picturesque beauty of the place in the monsoon season. However, this year due to Corona, monsoon tourism has been banned in the district. But a large number of people are seen visiting the place defying the ban.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Sindhudurg has been experiencing heavy rain from last many days which have led to overflow of water from many dams. Amboli, Savadav, Madkhol and Sawantwadi dams have been overflowing. With the progress of monsoon towards Karnataka, though IMD has removed red warning from Mumbai and coastal areas, but the danger is still not averted as these areas have been witnessing continues rain from last many days. Overzealous tourists are seen enjoying tourism in a dangerous manner at the site of dams which, local villagers feel, can pose threat to their lives. Hence, the villagers, to avoid any major accident, have urged the local administration to look in the matter for the safety of the tourists. </span><br />''  <br />
