Large arrangement in Delhi for polio immunization

About 8000 centres have been set up in Delhi to administered polio drops to the children upto the age of 5 years. Health workers are also available at all railway stations, metro station, interstate bus terminals, Indira Gandhi International Airport and important public places to administer the polio drops to the children. <br/> <br/>Delhi Health Minister Dr. Kiran Walia said that more than 20 lakh children will be administered polio drops in the national capital.<br/> <br/>AIR correspondent reports, nineteen fresh polio cases have been reported so far this year. <br/> <br/>Uttar Pradesh accounts for 9, Bihar 6 and Maharshtra, West Bengal, Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir one each.<br/> <br/>Last year no polio cases were reported from Maraharshtra and Jammu and Kashmir While 16 out of 19 cases are of P3 variety, three cases reported from J&K, Maharashtra and West Bengal are of more dangerous P1 variety.<br/>
