The Visiting Deputy Prime Minister of Lao Democratic Republic, Dr. Thongloun Sisoulith today held discussions with the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh in New Delhi this evening.<br/><br/>Several important bilateral and international issues of mutual concern came up for discussions in the meeting. Strengthening bilateral economic cooperation remained in focus. During his stay in the capital, he also exchanged views with the captains of industry and called on the Vice President, Shri Mohammad Hamid Ansari. <br/><br/>He also held discussions with External Affairs Minister, Mr. S.M. Krishna and is leaving back home tomorrow. Our correspondent adds several pacts and agreements have been signed between the two countries to realise the full potential in trade and commerce.
