Two years after the military victory of the security forces over the LTTE, the Sri Lankan Army is holding a three day seminar starting Tuesday to share is military experience with the international community in defeating terrorism.India , Russia, China, Pakistan , Bangladesh are some of the 42 countries who will participate in the Conference on ‘Defeating Terrorism: the Sri Lankan Experience’ in Colombo.More than 100 international delegates are expected to join the three day Conference. UK and US have however expressed regrets to participate in this Conference.The panel presenting the Sri Lankan Experience would share their knowledge of counter-insurgency measures, emphasizing the predominance of the political effort, military efficient politico military gearing and rapid resettlement as the core contributors to the success of the campaign. The foremost point is to specify the factors that contributed to militarily defeating the LTTE.International Human rights group have a given a call to boycott the event .
