Sri Lanka has urged United Nations not to publish and act on its experts’ panel report on allegations of war crime. It said it can irreparably damage the reconciliation process.Briefing the media in Colombo Thursday afternoon, Sri Lankan External affairs Minister G. L. Peiris said that the publication of this report will cause irreparable damage to the reconciliation efforts of Sri Lanka. It will damage the UN system too. Peiris told reporters in Colombo this UN report is preposterous.G L Peires declined to make any comment on the contents of the report saying that it was still being studied. A copy of the Report was handed over to the Sri Lankan government nine days ago.
