Sri Lanka has temporarily closed its embassy in Libya as a precautionary measure. External Affairs Ministry in Colombo said the step has been taken due to the prevailing situation in Libya. According to the report , the Sri Lankan Ambassador in Tripoli and other staff have already returned to Colombo. The Sri Lanka mission in Cairo will handle all related matters with Libya. No Sri Lankan casualties have been reported during the protest march or in the air strikes.
