Sri Lanka extended its lead to 2-0 in the five-match one day series against South Africa by winning the rain hit second match by 17 runs by Duckworth-Lewis method at Colombo last night. Batting first, the hosts were restricted to 223 for 9 in 49 overs when rain forced a long break. The Proteas were given a revised target, but they could manage only 104 for five off 21 overs when rain finally forced the end of the game.
