As Sri Lanka prepares itself for its 63rd Independence Day, all arrangements are being put in place at Katargama, in the Uva Province where this years’ main ceremony will take place . The theme of the celebration is ‘Protect the Rebuilt Nation’. Over 3,000 members of Sri Lanka Army, Navy, Air Force, Police and the Civil Defence Force will participate in the national day parade followed by the cultural show.
