Within a span of few weeks, Sri Lanka has been hit by flood by the second time, affecting more than 100, 000 people.A similar flood situation was reported in Batticaloa, Ampara and Trincomalee Districts last month as well.The North Western Province of Sri Lanka is facing a emergency and critical situation with several major tanks and reservoirs in the Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa threatened with the possibility of bursting due to the continuous heavy rains.In Vavuniya alone, more than 30 camps have been set up to help the flood affected people.According to reports, flood water is flowing on some areas on the A -9 road making road movement impossible.
