In Nepal, the death toll due to landslides and flood caused by incessant rainfall in the remote western region has crossed 36 with 10 more deaths reported in Parvat and Achham districts last night and this morning.<br/><br/>According to police sources, four persons of the same family were killed when their house was washed away by landslide in Thapakhana village of Parvat district this morning. The death toll in the worst affected Achham district alone rose to 24 with the death of six persons in landslides at Siddheswari and Bindhuwasini villages late last night.<br/><br/>12 persons of two families were killed in Dadeldhura district when landslides swept away thier houses. The dead included seven children.<br/><br/>Official sources said, additional police and rescue workers were dispatched to the affected areas but continuing bad weather were hampering rescue works. Thousands of families have been affected by landslides and flood in western Nepal. Road communication has been disrupted in several places in western Nepal due to landslides.
