Heavy rainfall continues to create havoc across Arunachal Pradesh. As of now, nine people lost their lives in rain related incidents in the state since last April, with three reported dead from Kurung Kumey District and six from Itanagar Capital Region.<br />''<br />''According to State Disaster Management Authority, 11,000 people are affected in 87 villages by flood or landslides triggered by heavy rain in the state. Road communications in many interior places are also affected due to incessant rain. Currently, Margherita-Changlang Road in Changlang district, Hoj-Potinroad in Papum Pare and Balemu-Bomdila road in West Kameng and Trans-Arunachal Highway roads in Upper Subansiri, Kurung Kumey and many other districts are blocked due to heavy landslides.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />''The Public Works Department is working hard to restore connectivity in all these districts. Meanwhile, the District Authorities have appealed the general public to remain alert and follow the safety and precautionary measures till the rain subsides.
