Landslide continues in Joshimath town, Chamoli district in Uttarakhand. Over 500 families and several hotels have come under its influence. District administration has issued Toll-free number – 81 71 74 86 02 for quick relief to the people affected by landslides. Also, the administration is keeping an eye on the landslide and Land subsidence.<br />'' State's Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj said that the government is vigilant in view of the cracks and land subsidence coming in the houses and hotels at Joshimath. Efforts are being made by the state government regarding its treatment. He said that the affected people were being shifted to other safer places. He said that a complete plan will be prepared soon in this matter and further action will be taken as per requirement. Meanwhile, in view of the landslide, the army has shifted the soldiers and their families who are living in the civil area on rent to safer places. The Army workshop unit established near Jyotirmath has also been completely evacuated and sent to other places.<br />'' <br />''Meanwhile, BJP has constituted a 14-member committee under the coordination of State General Secretary Aditya Kothari to assess the landslides and damages taking place in Joshimath. Party's state media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that the committee would visit the site tomorrow and talk with local residents, businessmen and public representatives and submit its report to the state leadership.
