In West Bengal, four people of a same family died on the spot when their house was hit by a land slide in the wee hours today at Saint Marry hill under Kurseong police station area in Darjeeling district. The landslide occurred following continuous rain for the last 24 hours. The dead included father, one son and two daughters. The fire Brigade personnel toil hard to dig out the bodies from the debris. The mother of the children miraculously escaped unhurt.
