In Odisha, four security personnel, including a commandant of Border Security Force (BSF) were killed today when suspected Maoists triggered a landmine explosion at Daik-3 on the Chitrakonda-Balimela road of Malkangiri district. The BSF team was on its way from Chitrakonda to Balimela when the incident occurred. The left wing ultras blew up the vehicle in which the security personnel were travelling and then fired at the survivors.Intensive combing operation had been launched soon after the incident and additional force sent to the spot. In an another incident, four state government officials have also been injured when suspected Maoists fired at them at Janiguda under Chitrakonda police station of Malkangiri district.
