In Manipur, one personnel of Assam Rifles was killed and another 10 personnel injured in a powerful landmine blast at Kumbi Kangshoibi Bridge under Kumbi Police Station in Bishnupur District this morning. Police sources said, the blast took place at around six in the morning when the unarmed Assam Rifles personnel were running from Moirang Khunou to Kumbi as part of their battle proficiency test, escorted by armed security personnel back and forth. Police cordoned the area just after the incident and conducted search operations.
