In Odisha, land acquisition for the Posco steel project near Paradip of Jagatsinghpur district is again postponed today following orders from senior officials of the State Government. Land acquisition process could not be started during the last two working days due to bad weather conditions. A large number of anti-Posoc activists supported by thousands of villagers including children, women and elderly persons have formed human chains in the outskirts of Gobindpur since early this morning to protest forceful land acquisition for the South Korean steel major, Posco.
