Lalbaba Bilal’s Police Custody extended

The Chief Magistrates Court in Nashik today extended the Police Custody of Lalbaba Bilal, an alleged LeT operative till 20th of this month in connection with Pune’s German Bakery blast case in February this year. Public Prosecutor, advocate Ajay Misar told the Chief Magistrate's Court Judge K.D Boche that Bilal had conducted recce of important cities in the country other than Nashik. He also informed the court that the accused is a LeT operative and had gone to Pakistan and Bangladesh for the training to attack various important cities in the country. Advocate Misar further told the court that on his further interrogation the ATS could obtain vital information from Bilal and about LeT’s network in the country and its terror plots. The co-accused Mirza Himayat Baig was arrested by the Maharashtra ATS from Pune. The ATS had recovered approximately 2 Kgs of RDX, mobile phones, pen drives and cash in American dollars from the duo. The third accused in the Pune German bakery blast Mohsin Chaudhary, is still absconding and had conducted the recce of German Bakery on January 31st and had also supplied the ammunition for the blast that was triggered through a mobile phone.
