Lakshya Sen enters semifinal of German Open Badminton

India's Lakshya Sen has entered the semifinal of German Open Badminton. In the quarterfinal match this evening, Lakshya beat H.S. Prannoy 21-15, 21-16.

In another quarterfinal, the match between Kidambi Srikanth and Viktor Axelsen of Denmark is underway.

In the round two matches yesterday, Prannoy beat Lee Cheuk Yiu of Hong Kong and Lakshya defeated Anthony Sinisuka Ginting of Indonesia. Srikanth defeated Lu Guang Zu of China.

However, it was a shock exit for two-time Olympic medalist P.V. Sindhu who bowed out to lower-ranked Zhang Yi Man of China in the second round. Saina Nehwal also made an exit in the second round losing to Saina Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand.
