Lakshya of Indian Air Force crashes in Odisha

An unmanned aerial vehicle, Lakshya of the Indian Air Force today crashed near a place of missile testing centre of Integrated Test Range at Chandipur in Odisha. <br/><br/>The aircraft was being tested from ITR this morning and it crashed in an open ground near Chandamani village under Baliapal block of the State. The reason behind the crash is yet to be ascertained. A DRDO team rushed to the spot after the incident. <br/><br/>Balasore Superintendent of Police Niti Shekhar said there was no loss of life and property. Lakshya is a pilotless target aircraft remotely operated from the ground to provide aerial targets for training and air defence.
