In Uttar Pradesh the situation in Lakhimpur khiri is under control but tense after yesterday's violence between lekhpal and advocates. Two advocates were killed and six others injured in the violence. The State government has already ordered for magisterial inquiry. District administration is taking every precaution to maintain law and order there. All the political parties including Congress BJP and Samajwadi and CPI have criticised Mayawati government for failing this for the worsening law and order situation in the state. In Lakhimpur Khiri incident thirty four lekhpals have been arrested and FIR has been lodged against lekhpalsand two other senior revenue officials. Meanwhile The UP Bar Council has called for state wise protest tomorrow against this gruesome killing of advocates .Keeping in view of tense situation extra police force has been deployed in Mohamadi and other disturbed areas. Police has also recovered arms which were used in the firing incident. Congress and left have demanded judicial probe while Samajwadi party has demanded removal of state government.
