<span style="color: #222222;">In Ladakh, Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan felicitated 80 participants from all over India, who participated in the 14-day basic and intermediate ski course conducted by the Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering (IISM) Kargil in collaboration with Ladakh Ski and Snowboard Association at Auditorium Hall Kargil.</span><br />''<br />''Mr. Khan said that Kargil has immense potential for winter sports and adventure tourism which needs to be developed further. LAHDC, Kargil is fully committed to providing logistic support to develop winter sports and adventure tourism infrastructure in the district. CEC congratulated the participants for receiving certificates in the basic and intermediate training course. He also hailed the efforts of Col. J S Dhillon for successfully conducting the training camp for enthusiastic sports lovers of the district.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Pertinently, many ski enthusiasts from outside Ladakh also participated in this training camp. Terming them the ambassadors of Kargil, Khan urged them to project the image of Kargil as a peaceful and adventurous place in order to boost winter sports and tourism in the district. On the occasion, Col. J S Dhillon highlighted the other potential slopes like Umba, Mamamtop, Drass, Padum, Sapi, etc which will become heaven for Skiing from February to June. He said the infrastructure development will help to develop these slopes as world-class destinations for snow skiing in the district.</span><br />
