In Ladakh, Chairman and CEC, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, LAHDC, Kargil on Friday chaired an emergency meeting for the immediate restoration of essential services, keeping in view of the heavy snowfall. Various issues related to snow clearance measures were discussed threadbare.<br />'' <br />'' The CEC directed the concerned officers for early restoration of essential services in town and adjacent areas by keeping the requisite manpower and machinery on standby mode on all major as well as internal link roads. He also directed all SDMs to monitor the situation closely.<br />'' <br />'' The CEC further asked the officers to ensure proper facilities of medical, electricity, drinking water supplies and to form a control room on sub division level to respond in emergency. He also directed the BRO for clearance of roads in civil populated areas.<br />'' <br />''The CEC also asked for wider publicity of 108 and 112 through All India Radio Kargil for the convenience of people.
