<span style="color: black;">At Kargil in Ladakh, one of the remotest village is providing education with Subject Specific Classrooms in the school. <br />''<br />''The successful and unique way of teaching has attracted not only the attention of students but of the country as well.<br />''</span><br />'' <span style="color: black;">Muhammad Ali, the Head Teacher at Government Middle School at Karith in Kargil is the man behind the concept of subject-wise classrooms. His efforts to retain students in the school by improving teaching methods have won him National Teacher Award for this year.<br />''</span><br />'' <span style="color: black;">Muhammad Ali introduced the concept after his posting at Karith school in 2016. The concept is that the students go to subject-wise classes where with relevant teaching-learning material (TLM) teacher is present, instead of teacher coming to the classroom.</span><br />'' <span style="color: black;">The school has 10 subject-specific classrooms that include science, mathematics, social studies, language, games, ABC Class, 123 Class, Urdu, Library, smart classroom. It has 41 students and nine teachers.<br />''</span><br />'' <span style="color: black;">Students are not just involved in academics, they are actively participating in it as well. They received appreciation at national level in 2018, from Water Resources Ministry for their project on River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. Students also got appreciations from social activist and environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk.</span><br />
