<span style="color: #222222;">The Union Finance Ministry is conducting awareness and training sessions for the Planning officials on the Public Financial Management Systems (PFMS), in the Union Territory of Ladakh.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Planning officers of the UT are being provided with training in various procedures of PFMS, Expenditure Advance Transfer (EAT) & Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) .</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In Ladakh, the PFMS is aimed at establishing an Efficient Fund Management System, Effective Expenditure Information Network, Reforms in Public Financial Management and Dissemination of Information to Citizens.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Central Sector Scheme, PFMS, is being implemented by the Controller General of Accounts in partnership with NIC. PFMS facilitates the administration in fund management, e-payment for implementing agencies and beneficiaries of various schemes and programmes. The new systems will ensure transparent disbursals, expenditure and accounting.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Finance Ministry established a new PFMS UT Ladakh Directorate a month back. Ladakh Divisional Commissioner-cum-Secretary Saugat Biswas has chaired the training session. Srinagar Directorate representative Hasib Lone gave a presentation on PFMS and training to 35 planning officers of Ladakh UT Administration. Ladakh Directorate Accounts Officer Puntsog Angchok, Chief Planning Officer Tsewang Gyaltsan were also present during the training session.</span>
