The reservoir projects are included 6 in Leh and 5 in Kargil.<br />'' <br />''Rural Development Director Tahir Hussain told AIR, News, these new water harvesting tanks are targeted to complete in five years with estimated cost of 60 crore rupees. The entry point activities of these 11 reservoirs have already been completed and the civil works is scheduled to start this year.<br />'' <br />''Advisor Dr. Pawan Kotwal has directed the rural development department to achieve the target within the timeline and ensure well structured and state of art water reservoir to harvest glacier melt water as well as minimize water wastage.<br />'' <br />''He also said Ladakh is water-stressed region and farmers faced a water crisis during sowing season in Spring Season.
