In Kargil Ladakh, Ladakh Sqay Association gave a warm reception to the National Team which brought laurels to UT Ladakh with 8 medals in the recently concluded 21st National Sqay Championship held at Jaipur Rajasthan.

The team was received by Vice President Ladakh Sqay Association Mudassir Hussain Wazir at Kargil Airport and was given a grand reception at TFC Kargil.

Muddasir Hussain Wazir while appreciating and congratulating the team for the outstanding performance award by the Sqay Federation of India during the Nationals.

For the first time after Ladakh became union territory, a team of Sqay was flagged off by DC Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve on 23rd of February by the Ladakh Sqay association.

Amongst the Medal winners include 2 Silver medal by  Ummul Baneen and Muzaffer Ali Khan in Junior Category and 2 Bronze Medals each by Nissar Ali and Mohd Hassan in Senior Category , 3 Bronze Medal by Renchen Dolkar, iftiqar Hussain and Asiya Banoo in Junior Category and 1 Bronze Medals by Archo Bilques Fatima in Sub Junior Category.

The team was accompanied by Mohammad Hassan as Coach and Zaheer Abass Khan as Manager.
