In Jammu and Kashmir, at Leh district, Ladakh Scout Regiment celebrated its 48th Raising Day. Hundreds of civilians including war widows, heroes of ex-servicemen are also participating in the elaborate cultural extravaganza.AIR Leh correspondent reports, homage ceremony to war heroes, special Sainik Sammelan and elaborated cultural extravaganza are being organised to mark the occasion. Ladakh Scout Regiment is an unit of Indian Army and is one of best decorated unit.In the operation Vijay itself Ladakh Scout has received 55 awards including to Mahavir Chakra, six Vir Chakra and two youth Seva Medals for their contribution in the Kargil war Ladakh Scout Regiment was established in 1963.
