With Five deaths in the last 24 hours, now total deaths rise to 170 in the UT.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Five deaths in a single day due to Covid has shaken the public sentiment in UT. With Four deaths in Leh and One in Kargil, the total deaths now in UT reached 170.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Union Territory has been observing corona curfew. However, fluctuations in the numbers of positive cases is worrying. With 202 new cases on Tuesday, in UT the total positive cases are now 1583 with 1300 infections in Leh alone. With aggressive testing in Leh and Kargil, especially in colonies and areas with workforce concentration and inbound passengers, the administration is zeroing in on the positive cases to arrest further spread. According to Tuesday's UT media bulletin, Leh has over 17 percent positivity from the collected samples which is close to average national positivity in the second wave. While Kargil has recorded nearly Six percent positivity.  In Ladakh,  717 positive patients are under treatment in Covid hospitals, Covid Care Centres and facility isolation, while 866 are in home isolation. UT has a 90 percent recovery rate from the infection.</span><br />''  <br />
