Ladakh has ranked third among the Union Territories in implementing PM SVANidhi Yojana. Ladakh's performance was reviewed by the Prime Minister on Pragati of Housing and Urban Affairs schemes recently. The PM SVANidhi Scheme was launched on 1st June this year, under Atma-Nirbhar Bharat initiative to support the Street vendors due to adverse effect of COVID-19. The scheme aims to facilitate collateral free working capital loan up to Ten thousand rupees of one year tenure, subsidized repayments and rewards on digital transactions.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The UT Administration has made special efforts to provide the benefit of the scheme to all the street vendors of the scheme through the Hill councils in Leh and Kargil. Ladakh Lieutenant Governor RK Mathur has appreciated the officials of Housing and Urban Development department for making exceptional progress. He appealed to them to provide all support to the Street vendors for running their businesses smoothly, during pandemic times. Mr. Mathur also appreciated MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal for making the scheme popular among the needy locals.</span><br />
