Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Radha Krishna Mathur flagged-off the operation of Subsidized Helicopter Service from Leh today. <br />'' <br />'' The helicopter service will cater to passengers from far-flung areas of Ladakh as per the approved routes from Leh to Lingshed, Nyerchung, Neraks, Yulchung, Padum, Singey Lalok, Dibling, Drass, Nubra, Srinagar and back along with Leh-Kargil, Kargil-Srinagar, Kargil-Padum on subsidized rates.<br />'' <br />'' In addition, this service will also be available for rescue and medical evacuation purposes.<br />''  <br />'' Lt. Governor instructed building of hangar for maintenance, night-halt and parking. Mr Mathur instructed officials to arrange underground storage for fuel. <br />'' <br />'' He also gave directions for providing infrastructural facilities at all the helipads. Adviser to Ladakh LG Umang Narula, Secretary Saugat Biswas, Leh Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar and Joint General Manager Engineering Wing of Pawan Hans Mr Satnam Singh were present on this occasion.<br />''
