Ladakh LG assures to pursue a solution on affiliation issues of pre-University courses of CIBS

<span style="color: black;">Ladakh Lieutenant Governor RK Mathur has assured to pursue a solution on affiliation issues of pre-University courses of Central Institute of Buddhist Studies. Ladakh Buddhist Association president Mr. Thupstan Chewang and Ladakh Gonpa Association President Mr Shatup Chemba called on the LG on CIBS issues, today. Mr. Mathur told them, steps to strengthen and revive the CIBS are important as the Institute plays a pivotal role in conserving the Ladakh culture and heritage.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">Earlier, in a letter the LG also sought intervention of Vice Chancellor of Varanasi based Sampoornanand Sanskrit University Anandiben Patel for re-affiliation of Pre-University Courses of CIBS from 2016 as a continuation of its earlier affiliation, to safeguard the interests of students of Ladakh.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">CIBS was affiliated to Sampoornanand Sanskrit University till it was given Deemed University status in 2016. After the new status, CIBS itself got disaffiliated from SSU with a notion that UGC provides affiliation to its pre-university courses as well. However, in the absence of any affiliation to pre-university courses, the future of hundreds of the CIBS students is in question. On the other hand, the CIBS students are demanding for early remedy to their issues.</span><br />''  <br />
