After assurance from the Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday on 6th Schedule Safeguards to Ladakh region under the Constitution, the senior leaders from Ladakh have issued a statement to withdraw the election boycott call.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR correspondent reports, in a major development for smooth conduct of ensuing 6th General Council Elections process of Leh Hill Council the senior leaders of Ladakh have withdrawn the call to boycott the elections.  Ladakh senior leaders have issued a statement to withdraw the boycott call, after the detailed talks with Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday and a follow up meeting with Union Ministers Kiren Rijiju and G Kishan Reddy today and assurances on the Constitutional Safeguards to Ladakh under the 6th Schedule and empowerment of Leh and Kargil Hill Councils.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Delegation was assured by the Union Government that issues relating to language, demography, ethnicity, land and jobs will be considered positively. Soon after the culmination of the Leh Hill Council Elections next month, the Home Ministry would commence a meeting with the Peoples Movement for constitutional safeguards under 6th Schedule with Leh and Kargil representatives. In the meantime, MoS Home G Kishan Reddy will be arriving in Leh on Monday.</span><br />
