Kargil and Leh districts in Ladakh Union Territory are standing as models for the rest of the country by creating highest man days under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act.  <br />'' <br />''AIR correspondent reports, Kargil and Leh districts are yet again standing as role models for the rest of the country. Kargil has over 18 thousands of job card holders in the district. Since April 2020 the Kargil district administration has achieved 2.20 lakh man days of jobs, which was 120 per cent more than what was achieved last year.<br />'' <br />'' A Beneficiary Mohammad Ali of Kargil said, MGNREGA works are created creatively and beneficial for the entire local society.<br />''  <br />'' More over this year, the beneficiaries have started receiving remuneration within the ten days directly from the National e-Fund Management System.<br />'' <br />'' A beneficiary Syed Mujtaba of Trespone was happy to receive remuneration immediately after the work is completed.<br />'' <br />'' In Kargil District NREGA beneficiaries were distributed Four crore rupees for the jobs they completed under the scheme.<br />'' <br />'' Similarly in Leh district over 2.65 lakh mandays were created so far. In 16 blocks of Leh district, nearly 10 thousand job card holders were engaged to create 819 assets in various places.<br />'' <br />'' Kargil Assistant Development Commissioner Mr. Ghulam Mohammad said, keeping the Covid requirements in view and requirements of local population many measures are taken.<br />''   <br />''In the toughest times ever seen by the Ladakh region for various reasons including due to lock down for the control of Covid-19 pandemic, many youth from various parts of the country have returned to their home land. MGNREGA has taken them with an assurance of job and asset creation for their region itself. District officials are thinking out of the box to have the Employment Generation program me to create more employment out of the works created under the scheme.   <br />
